Looking for an alternative to Dext, AutoEntry or Hubdoc?
Dext, AutoEntry and Hubdoc read the data from receipts and invoices. Billfetch starts a step earlier — collecting documents from your inbox, bank and sales channels — and ends a step later, with a monthly package for your accountant. Each page below sets out dated, sourced facts so you can compare for yourself.

How we compare
We only state facts we can link to on the provider’s own website, with the date we checked them. Prices and features change; check the provider’s current page before you decide. We do not claim to be better or cheaper for everyone — the right tool depends on how you work.
How Billfetch works
- Collects documents for you: a forwarding address, Gmail and Outlook inboxes, uploads and photos sent on Telegram
- Connects to banks, payment providers and marketplaces, and imports bank CSV statements
- Matches each payment to its invoice and lists what is still missing
- Prepares a monthly package with import files for Xero, QuickBooks and FreeAgent, or pushes records straight to FreeAgent and QuickBooks
- Converts foreign-currency records with HMRC monthly exchange rates
- Plans are priced by the number of businesses and connected sources, not per document
Billfetch’s current prices are on the pricing page.
Where Billfetch may not fit
- Billfetch has no native mobile app: you send photos through Telegram or upload them in the browser.
- Billfetch does not send data to Xero directly; it prepares Xero import files instead.
- Billfetch is built for UK businesses (GBP, HMRC, Companies House).
Moving your history across
Billfetch can import your past documents from a Dext or AutoEntry export, with the images, so you keep your history in one place. How to move from Dext or AutoEntry
Dext is a trademark of Dext Software Ltd; AutoEntry and Sage are trademarks of The Sage Group plc or its licensors; Hubdoc and Xero are trademarks of Xero Limited or its affiliates.
