The main difference

Hubdoc is closely tied to Xero. Billfetch is independent of your accounting software: it prepares import files for Xero, QuickBooks and FreeAgent, pushes straight to FreeAgent and QuickBooks, and matches documents to bank and marketplace payments before handover.

How Billfetch works

  • Collects documents for you: a forwarding address, Gmail and Outlook inboxes, uploads and photos sent on Telegram
  • Connects to banks, payment providers and marketplaces, and imports bank CSV statements
  • Matches each payment to its invoice and lists what is still missing
  • Prepares a monthly package with import files for Xero, QuickBooks and FreeAgent, or pushes records straight to FreeAgent and QuickBooks
  • Converts foreign-currency records with HMRC monthly exchange rates
  • Plans are priced by the number of businesses and connected sources, not per document

Billfetch’s current prices are on the pricing page.

Where Billfetch may not fit

  • Billfetch has no native mobile app: you send photos through Telegram or upload them in the browser.
  • Billfetch does not send data to Xero directly; it prepares Xero import files instead.
  • Billfetch is built for UK businesses (GBP, HMRC, Companies House).
